DENTAL CROWNS
Full Porcelain Crowns and Bridges
A dental crown is a “cap” that looks like a real tooth and is placed over a tooth, to cover the tooth for the purpose of restoring its shape and size, strength, and appearance.
Crowns are used for reconstructing damaged teeth or replacing missing teeth. While they can be manufactured out of different materials, the best material is dental porcelain. Compared with crowns made out of other materials, porcelain crowns are more stable, stronger and resemble natural teeth more closely.
Restore and Improve Your Smile with Dental Crowns
Dental crowns can be fashioned from stainless steel, ceramic, acrylic, gold and metal alloys. Unlike removable devices such as dentures, crowns are cemented onto existing teeth or implants, and can only be removed by your dentist.
Dental Crowns
Dental crowns can repair extensively decayed or damaged teeth. Dental crowns can be made of gold metals, silver metals, porcelain or a combination of porcelain and metal. New Vision Eye Center is using CAD/CAM technology for the fabrication of dental crowns. In some cases, conservative dental veneers may replace the need for a dental crown.
